NEW PROCEDURE TO JOIN THE FORUMS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Unfortunately, due to recent abuses of our forum we have had to change the registration procedure. Please follow these instructions closely to join in.

Step 1: Complete the information below to register.

Step 2: Once you are finished with Step 1, of the registration procedure, go to the Contact link on the home page of our main website: http://www.step12.com/contact.html and use the contact form to request that your Forum User Account be activated.

Be sure to include your User Name that you selected for the forum, and be sure to use the same email address that you used when you registered for the forum.

Step 3: You will then receive an email from one of our Forum Moderators advising you that your Forum Membership has been approved and activated.

If we do not hear from you within 48 hours of registration, your registration account will be deleted.

2. Our common interest is the AA Program of Recovery, the 12 Steps, as they are described and explained in the book, Alcoholics Anonymous. This is a place where individual AA members can share their experience, strength and hope with each other, in the interest of being helpful.

3. Most of us are sober, recovering AA members, and this website is specifically for AA members who love AA.

4. This is NOT a place for those who are critics of AA, or those who have complaints about AA. There are other websites for those people. Please go to the other websites to complain.

We are kind of like the meeting after the meeting where AA members gather together to socialize, converse and discuss, to make new friends, to hang out with each other, and to offer our help to each other. We have a zero tolerance for arguments, negative discussions, or criticism of other members.

6. We do not use Step12.com as a replacement for AA, nor is it suggested to use Step12.com as a replacement for actual attendance at local AA meetings.

7. We do NOT allow linking to images or other websites in messages posted in this forum.

8. Copyrighted material, without the written permission of the author is not allowed.

9. If you post anything that is copyrighted you personally assume the responsibility and the legal liability of the post.... and you grant permission to Step12.com without limitation rights to publish, re-publish, reprint and display the material.

10. While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.

11. You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions.
