Hi there, my name is Ruthie and I'm an alcoholic.

I'm a member of the After Work Bunch in Safety Harbor, FL and have been sober longer than I ever thought was possible - since 1981. Who would've ever thunk it? Certainly not me. But, somehow one day at a time with the fellowship of AA and the grace of God, so far so good. This program really works.

This looks like a great site to me and I want to thank Dallas and everyone else that has shared. I've only just begun reading the posts, but have found many to be really helpful.

Welcome to this little electronic home group. That's a nice stretch of 24's since 1981. I don't know how stuck you might be in the rocking chair, but take a stretch and keep holding out "the hand" and helping the new gal like I'm sure you're doing. You said it all: God's Grace and Mercy and the fellowship of A.A. just for today. Who'd a thunk?
