Daddy

Postby sunlight » Sun Jun 21, 2009 7:23 pm

I loved you too much.
Sacred,
Supreme;
My youth your gilded throne.

You loved me, too
The bliss of angels,
The price
Your crown of thorns.

And I tried to wring that emotion
Out of every carnival con man
And clown
I could find,
Cursing your cruelty
And my condemnation
Into corruption.

I have constructed an altar
In my heart:
Candles and incense
For your honor.

My life has been a Mass
To your memory
A sacrifice
Of self.

I'm getting off the cross now,
Daddy.
Someone else
Already died
For these sins.

DADGUNNIT SUNNY ....

I can't read now.

I'm putting this one in "My Documents/Friends of Bill/Sobriety Poems/Gratitude".

It's a beautiful and wonderous thing, huh?

Your first two stanzas are my "Tim, will you lead us out?"

You betcha! ... "Who loves us WAY too much?" Our Father ...

Love ya girl. Thanks for the tears this morning. Hurts real good.

Love,
Tim1
