Practice these principles in all our affairs

The stimulus that motivated me to start this discussion thread was:

Earlier today, I was reviewing a Seventh Step topic for an A.A. meeting tonight. My focus was on the 7th Step Prayer, found on page 76 of the Big Book.

As I reflected on the prayer, my question became “What are my current character defects... that stand in the way of my usefulness to God and my fellows? And, which of these character defects am I now willing to have removed?â€

Thanks for posting this, Dallas. I have a speaker tape of Lila R., and she does a wonderful run-through of how she applies each Step to situations in her day-to-day life. When I first heard that, I found it extremely helpful. I'm getting better at this and it's amazing how well it works! Whodathunk, eh?
