Gratitude

Postby Jim W » Fri Nov 19, 2010 9:59 pm

In meetings I hear a lot about gratitude this time of the year. Is gratitude just a feeling? Sometimes I feel it. Sometimes I think about it. It isn't something that I can muster up by making a list of things that I ought to be grateful for.

Gratitude needs to be expressed. I can't just sit around a feel it, I'll choke on my own gratitude and drown in my own happiness. Thank God I have been given a way to express that gratitude.

Agree
Gratitude must be expressed.
Otherwise others will not be aware you are grateful for whatever you have.
But I think expression can be shown in many forms.
Such as this forum as an example.
Just visiting here and participating shows gratitude.
Otherwise the forum would whither and die as many do.
Interesting subject that could lead to other subjects.

There is no such thing as gratitude unexpressed. If it is unexpressed, it is plain, old-fashioned ingratitude. ~Robert Brault
