When you can't make a meeting

Postby 918gma » Sun Jan 29, 2006 10:26 pm

The program tells us that you get to your meetings no matter what, and I agree wholeheartedly.

Occasionally there are times when you just can't make it. Family obligations, illness....... These are the times when the other tools of the program come into play.

Calling your sponsor
Call a friend in the program
Read the book
Prayer
Write
Meditate

These are all healthy ways of keeping your head where it belongs, when you can't be where you need to be, and of course as soon as possible, get to that meeting. :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

My name's Anne, I'm an alcoholic,

I planned to get to a meetin' tonight...needed it, too...my daughter & her homework ####### took precedence...so what'd I do...bellied up to this computer screen & logged on. You bet, set yourself down&browse around...I always find somethin' I need here..& that's everyone here of course.

Keep it b'tween the ditches gang, & thanks for bein' here.

In the spirit of the fellowship,
Annie 8)
