I had tried so hard ... on my own ... without asking, or receiving help from anyone else --- and, I continued to fail over and over and over again.
Once I did start following suggestions I started to get better and better and better. It got so good -- that it made me start asking for more suggestions and I became more than willing to take action on them. And, even today, that's how I keep it good.
One day, when I was thinking of how much easier my life was getting and how much better it was getting as a result of getting help, rather than trying to solve my problems on my own -- I thought, "why in the heck did I wait so long to start doing this? Life is so much easier and better when I reach out and ask and allow someone to help me!" As I look back -- I can see that it was always "my head" (my thinking) that kept me in trouble and kept me from getting help. By receiving help -- it began to change my thinking.
I also think that you're pretty lucky to hook up with Carol! It will be good for you and for her!
Wishing you both the best!!!
