hi Geoffs. Been on that site most of the day xcept for time out at meeting. Fantastic discovery. First heard about it in rehab. Would need to travel 200+ miles to nearest group and some of that through high tension trouble spots at present here in NI, so TG for internet....

My ancestors are supposed to be from Ireland and Scotland. Heard lot's of good ole' drinking stories when I was a kid. Made me want to run away to Ireland! Drinking and fighting!

Now, that would have been a life worth living!

Hi Dallas. Always thought I knew my parents never had drink in the home as they came from alcoholic backgrounds, but heard someone mention the oul' poteen recently and realised after 50odd years that this is what was offered to the parish priest in the guise of "will u have a drop of the oul holy water Father?" An uncle worked as a lab technician for Customs and Excise in Dublin, and was able to access only the best quality stuff brought in from dismantled stills.. And I truly believed he was transporting Holy Water. How niaive can u be?????
