You're right, Geoff! The one millionth copy of the Big Book, which rolled off the presses in 1973, was presented to Richard Nixon, American president from 1969 to 1974.

During the 1985 50th AA Anniversary in Montreal, Canada, Ruth Hock was given the 5 millionth Big Book. House of Seagrams flew their flags at half mast for 3 days.
