The Path
I lived a life of loneliness
Desperation was all I knew,
I traveled the roads of misery
Strangled by fear in all I do.
I conquered hollow mountains
And I have swam shallow seas,
I contemplated suicide
Success I could not achieve.
But soon my life would change
As I hit the bottomless pit,
I stood in the corner of tormented horror
My life had turned to ####.
Then you reached your hand out to me
And you held me by your side,
You told me of a freedom
Where I would not have to hide.
You took me to a room
Where I did not feel alone,
Than you opened up a book
Where the path was clearly shown.
Now I live the promises
That was freely given to me,
My eyes are open wider
The light I clearly see.
