The Newcomer
I walk through the door
I am afraid,
I don't know what to expect
My hands are shaking, I'm sweaty and hot
My life is a total wreck.
I stumble in the doorway,
My hand slides through my hair,
My eyes dart around the room,
I have to find a chair.
I can feel your eyes upon me
As I slither like a snake,
Into the chair
In the back of the room.
I try to smile but I am so afraid
Oh my god what am I doing here?
I am not like these people.
Why can't I just stop?
This really sucks!
What if someone sees me that I know?
I'll give it 5 minutes
At least I can say I tried.
This is the last time I "What was that"?
What did she say?
A Disease..............
