Hi all

My name is as above.

Bit about me: my drug of no choice was actually heroin but I feel like I want to belong more to AA and have an AA sponsor than go the NA route. I attend both meetings but i like how AA stays true to the original book and I do have a desire to stop drinking because as soon as I start drinking I will either end up blackout drunk or on some kind of drug.

I was in treatment, stayed clean for 5 weeks after leaving. I've been relapsing on and off for the last month but been clean and sober for 5 days now. I really want this. I have been in touch with my HP and I am quite desperate to recover from this illness.

Welcome Nathan. Keep coming back. The AA program is really amazing. I'm on the beginning of my journey but have already seen some changes in myself as a result of this program.

Hello Natty. Welcome. From the experience you shared above -- about drinking -- if that were me, I'd do a little more research in the BB. Chapter 3. Sounds rather alcoholic, to me!
