I am responsible
When you reach out your hand to me
To guide you through the steps we took
The steps that set us free.
I am responsible
To share with you my strife
So that you may see the similarities
Instead of the differences in our life.
I am responsible
To read with you our book
Word by word, page by page
It's a direction we all took.
I am responsible
To be honest, fair and true
To show you the disease that you posses
Is a disease that wants to kill you.
I am responsible
To pass the message on to you
In hopes you will help a newcomer
Then you can be responsible too.
