Wow, I just read through this string that I started months ago. You know what? I started my 4th step and found it quite uncomfortable and stopped. Just stopped step work and got sidetracked with new job that didn't work out and by December when they laid me off from said job my ass was falling off! I came so close to relapse. That's when I got my seconds sponsor and got back with the program. She told me to start over and so here I am on step 3. Step 4 is looming up ahead in the distance but I'm ok. I can take it!

I have been "assigned" 86/87 again = know it by heart and do it... that was given to me around 12/28 - my "thought life" is definately on a higher plane.. i am so inspired....

i just got reduced to part time status - probably as a result of ### thinking and actions back in the fall - because i am practicing 86/87 i have the belief and trust that "out of this situation only good will come for the highest good of all concerned"....and looking each day for the "evidence" of a higher source in my life is the "highlight" of my day....

thinking of you...

Hang in there Seabiscuit. We can get through the hard times and we don't have have to take a drink. Keeping a positive attitude is what's going to get us through it and I have to remind myself that all day long. It's great that you made it through your 4th step. Keep coming back!

I was just assigned to read p. 86-87 each morning when I read my Reflections and my Courage to Change. Good stuff on those pages.
I need to go read now. :)

PeaceJoy, we have the same routine. Recently, I have found these readings to be RIGHT on time! We must be doing the RIGHT thing! Let's keep it up!

Safe and sober but tired, hungry and cranky in 14 hour layover in Germany. This too shall pass!

Hungry
Angry
Lonely
Tired

Those are the things I'm told to watch for, as we can mistake those feelings for desire to drink. Get some food and some rest Krystal!

Hi I am new here, I have 6 and a half months sobriety and about to take the fourth step. It's good to see the feedback about it here. To be honest I am looking forward to doing it (was dreading this step a few months back) ..I am willing to look at what ails me and ask for these flaws to be removed.

Hi Mimii,

That's a great attitude. I have 9 months today. I'm on step 3 but with 4 looming in the distance I'm thinking it will be difficult but an the end will be a good thing. Good luck with yours.
