Oh what an order this is! Trying to figure out how to set this topic up. LOL

Somebody help me! LOL

Update: Well. I think I got it figured out. If you desire it enough -- you'll seek help.
If you seek help and you don't find it -- and you desire it enough -- you'll figure it out. Eventually.

I lived a lot of years of my life needing help but not knowing that I needed help.
I'm not the kind of guy that admits -- to needing help with anything.

To need help or to ask for help -- in my book -- was a sign of weakness.
Only girls and girly guys ask for help or seek help. Not a real man, right?

Trying to be a "real man" nearly killed me. Matter of fact, "to be a real man" was the 2nd reason that I originally turned to drugs. And, I didn't want to be just a normal, every day, tract house, lunch box toting "real man." I wanted to be different. I wanted to be a real Super Man. Can you guess where that got me? LOL. It got me to lots of places that I had no intention of ever even imagining that I would get to!

Sure, there were very brief periods of success. But they always seemed to end up at the bottom of a barrel of some pitiful and incomprehensible experience.

One thing that I learned? Yep. It's true. Real men, the smart ones (not the dumb ones) -- really do ask for help when they need it.

Thanks Realfly,

I always watch out for the relapse triggers that throw my emotions way out of kilter. Because when my emotions go my first reaction is to try and overcome then with even greater emotions which leave me with even bigger problems to fix. Thats just not the answer for this alcoholic. Reversing my previous lifestlye is the only way i'm going to find some comfort in this world. The old way almost killed me, drunk and sober.

Be well
