Why repeat it, I already know

When I first joined AA, I would get a little frustrated that the same things always got repeated over and over. The serenity pray, how it works, the 12 traditions.

As I have started to grow in the program I have lost that frustration. I discovered that where ever your at in the steps, or whatever issue your strugling with at that moment. All of a sudden, some thing you have heard over and over suddenly clicks, or takes on a new meaning,. Almost like you were actually hearing it for the first time.

So, next time you attend a meeting or read about the steps. Listen to it like it was the first time you heard it. If we are truly living one day at a time it is the first time for that day. See if things don't sart clicking for you.

absolutely gma, I agree. It's happened so many times that I've heard something I've heard a thousand times and all of a sudden it's like 'I GET IT'

That's why we keep comin back
