Here's a few off the top of my head:
"..We can join in HUMOROUS action.." ( instead of harmonious)
"...We will comprehend the word CEMETERY & we will know peace." (from the promises)
"If you want to stop drinking,you're going to have to stop drinking."
"If you keep doing what you did, you'll keep getting what you got."
which is like "If nothing changes, nothing changes."

We are wise beyond our beers!

We are also hilarious!

Here's one blooper that I heard in a meeting when an A.A. was reading a portion of Chapter 5, How it works: (page 58-60 Big Book)

"11. Sought through prayer and MEDICATION to improve
our conscious contact with God as we understood
Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us
and the power to carry that out.."



P.S.... It's one that I've heard more than a few times!

My sponsor once said this one to me...

"Fair? Life isn't fair. Get used to it. Now, what was your problem?"

Here are a couple of bloopers that were read at meetings (busted me up):

From "How it works" on page 58 - 60 after the steps are read:

"Many of us exclaimed what an ODOR! I can't go through with it."


From the 12 Traditions:

"Three - The only requirement for membership is a desire to START drinking."

(I think the 3rd Tradition should be changed to that one!)

And this is my all time favorite - it comes from that saying "I might not have got in trouble every time I was drinking. But every time I got in trouble I was drinking."

The better version: "Every time I got drunk, I was drinking."

I once heard a guy say "I know I`m allergic to alcohol cause every time I drink I breakout in handcuffs"

From a meeting: "If alcohol kills brain cells, why didn't it kill the ones that made me want to drink?"

And... "My head would have killed me a long time ago... if it didn't need my body for transportation!!!!"
