Hi guys...found the site the other nite, just wanted to say thanks for being here...helped me out of a tight spot and have been reading everyday since. Lots of great thoughts and raw honesty. Ive been looking for something like this :mrgreen: Thanks and hope to share more soon...

I don't think I've heard it put that way before - think I'll remember that! :twisted: (That is, the "raw honesty" part.)

I've heard it said, and seen it "implied" that honesty can sometimes chase some people back out there to drinking. Maybe - maybe not? Last time I checked, I didn't have enough power to make someone else drink again. I swear, I never held a gun to nobody's head and tell them "go back out drinking, OR ELSE!" I believe that Honesty, Open-mindedness, and Willingness (the H.O.W. to of sobriety) are "essentials" like the book says. For me if any one of those is missing or compromised, I will drink again. From what I've seen with other alcoholics, it works the same.
