I've heard it said, and seen it "implied" that honesty can sometimes chase some people back out there to drinking. Maybe - maybe not? Last time I checked, I didn't have enough power to make someone else drink again. I swear, I never held a gun to nobody's head and tell them "go back out drinking, OR ELSE!" I believe that Honesty, Open-mindedness, and Willingness (the H.O.W. to of sobriety) are "essentials" like the book says. For me if any one of those is missing or compromised, I will drink again. From what I've seen with other alcoholics, it works the same.
