What does sober mean?

In the beginning of my sobriety I was a mess-bug surprise huh? One of the sayings I heard the really stuck was this:

I'm Jim an alcoholic/Pensacola, FL. Glad to see another sober face in the rooms.

I haven't (or don't recall) seen this acronym. This is really kewl. The acronyms and slogans help me keep things in perspective. Sometimes the fewest letters/words say the most.
