Why 4, 5, 6, 7 ?

Postby tim-one » Tue May 12, 2009 8:10 am

Psyche, my dear, don’t fail my trust
Don’t seek beneath the unswept dust
That I’ve bid passing time to spread
To cover the books within my head.
Even I refrain from stirring the books
I’ve stashed away in shadowed nooks.
I know full well what lies within,
But hope the leaves won’t turn again.

Psyche, my love, if I should sleep,
Please let my slumber be sound and deep.
I’m weary of trying to be aware
Of every shuffling at my back stair.
Please let me rest and leave you be
And trust to keep my identity
Enclosed in dark from seeking eyes,
From lights which would be cast by spies.

Psyche, my life, there’s those who say
I’ve a closet of demons hidden away.
Don’t let them shake your trust in me,
For your trust is all I ask of thee.
My arrows of love bring hearts new breath,
But I tell you they surely will bring my death
If you should break my trust in thee
By seeking proof for your trust in me.
