I won't be anonymous!
Dude! You hit the button! Did you do that on purpose? Are you trying to start WWIII?
"that would be worth dating"
"wait until you were sober for a year"
"and that would want to date you"
"Wasn't that a wonderful demonstration of my saintly spirituality! Heck no I'm not a Saint! And, I have no desire to be one! Nor do I want to sing in the choir!"
Good gawd Dallas! I'm going to tell you what I tell my best friend, and running buddy Mike, who has 28 years sobriety -
"I can't wait to be as spiritual as you when I get 22 years!"
The anonymous guy! Bwahahahahahahahaha
(Really it wasn't me - I'm not afeared to slap around the big guy)
OK - Wonder where I was going with this one?
Oh yeah - what to do on a date.
Well I have a couple pointers that might be helpful.
1. Before the date, take a shower or bath, brush teeth, attend to your personal hygeine.
2. Going out on a date and leaving a favorable impression usually means that a car should be used instead of public transportation. The car should be all one color, with 4 safe tires and a spare tire. No dried vomit or other peculiar unidentifiable semi-solid masses which emit foul odors should be on the seats, floor, or trunk.
3. Having a valid drivers license and being clear of outstanding warrants is very helpful in traffic stops.
4. Having a job and cash money in your wallet or purse usually earns "cool points".
5. Don't marinate in cologne or perfume prior to leaving home.
6. Taking a woman out for dinner excludes the free meals served at Catholic Charities or other homeless charity centers.
These are just some basic starting points that have always been helpful to me.
