Sober love fest! Go!
As former entertainment director of my AA club, (now I'm the secretary - borrring, but necessary) I did something like this.
There's music, of course.
Then, you put your right foot in, you put your right foot out....
Dance the night away!
Games are fun. Twister, charades, pictionary...
Food can be a theme: Mexican, Asian, Polish!
But, the best thing for a love fest is to put the names of everyone attending in a basket, and then everyone draw a name. You then write a "love letter" to that person telling them what you admire about them, something they may have said or shared that was meaningful to you or what they did that helped you.
Get creative! Be real. Be grateful. Laugh it up.
Then, those who would like to, may read the letter they've written aloud to the person whose name they've picked, or they may give the letter to the person to be read privately.
Lots of tears and laughter with this one!
And, the relationships that have formed as a result are wonderful to see.
Most of us never knew we had so many beautiful qualities, until others told us that they saw them in us.
