No one who served in Iraq, Afghanistan, or Desert Storm knew what they were getting into when they signed up for the military. Alot of you people have no IDEA what those soldiers went through. They are horrible wars, with atrocities that most of you people can't imagine. I've seen some of the pictures that some soldiers have taken, and let me tell you, they are horrific. Most people can't adjust to seeing that kind of thing.God, that is so heartbreaking.

I agree it might not have been well thought out, but he was trying to get the severity of the situation across to Brad's family, not Brad himself. I just thought a different perspective on the situation would calm the attitudes towards the comment. BTW, Nice screen name!

Muze226My mother in-law and brother in-law are both psychologist. They agree with what the man was trying to do but they also agree 100% that the comment was not well thought of since at the time he said it "Brad" was not present. So where is the sense of shame for Brad if he is not present to hear it?
Muze226 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
He was referring to the shame & guilt Brad has for killing people in Iraq. He was pointing out that hes going to create more guilt by hurting someone for no good reason. He was pointing out that he needs to come to terms with his time in the military. I dont think he meant it the way you took it.
