You KNOW it's a serious intervention when Candy begins to show emotion at 6:21. She is usually strong during interventions, but this has touched her deeply and indeed it is absolutly sad. The Father deserves a ''Father Of The Year'' award for his remarkable Fathering skills, the kids are strong individuals, and hopefully the mother stays sober FOREVER!

Asking someone who smokes 'why they kill themselves' is not done, because smoking is so socially accepted.But smoking affects the quality of life, since many smokers really get aggitated when cant have a smoke for a while... tell me thats not sick.If it was all due to stupidity, everyone would immediatly stop smoking right?No, they SAY they dont care, but theire just not willing to admit they have a disease...and thats the only "just stupid" part of it.Thats just my opinion :-)

addiction is not a disease, its a mental condition. its the substance that they're addicted to. like, the addiction to cigarettes is just as strong as any other drug addiction, so its like going up to a guy who enjoys a cigarette and say "you have a DISEASE!! cause you like the effect on cigs!!" the drugs are just doing what they're designed to do. no matter how strong the drug is, addiction is always the same. it all boils down to stupidity.. are you dumb enough to do drugs. thats it

A disease is, when something somewhere inside your body doesnt function right, affecting the quality of life (if not treated).Since there's an inner cause for addictions and they certainly affect a lot of things in life...Addiction is just a disease like any other.
