Even though its common for people who are in addiction to have suffered trauma in their childhoods, I think a lot of it is still genetic, and also people are just different and deal with things in different ways.

No theres really just a huge link between the two. I forgot what it was but something like 60% or higher of people who suffer from addiction were victims of sexual abuse.

Yes I don't know what to make of that (that every female on the show says was molested). Also, the parents never believed them. Honestly, I wonder if the intervention pple seek out this particular scenario (woman-molested-addiction) or if there really is this huge link between those 2 issues.
